February 12th, 2021

Shelter is one of the most basic human needs, along side food and water. But in so many of our cities, access to affordable housing remains one of the great barriers to economic stability and is intertwined with challenges of income stagnation, quality education, food deserts and public transport - all built on often ugly histories of redlining and gentrification. How do communities begin to untangle these complex webs of inequality and injustice?

Bryce Butler is the Managing Director of Access Ventures, a venture capital firm whose mission is to to initiate systemic change in communities that results in a more inclusive and creative economy. His job history also includes having been a pastor in the same neighborhoods that Access Ventures serves.
